This week Google has made some changes to there homepage (if you haven’t noticed yet) in hopes to make things easier for those who use the Apple iPhone. They have created applications specifically for the iPhone that works smoothly with it on a single interface allowing users to move faster than ever.
When you visit their home page – using the iPhone – you can spot the new search box and links that will take you directly to their Gmail, Calendar, and Reader. They are all located at the very top of the screen so that you can access these apps quick and easy. They have also enabled the word suggestions (which is also enabled on most computers) that will help you to find thinks quicker without always having to type in the whole word.
You’ll find that Google has done something to make everything run faster. Gummi Hafsteinsson – the senior product manager for Google stated that, “When you click it’s instantaneous, just like on the desktop; there’s no difference between the two.”
Most people with smartphones can connect to the internet – but have to deal with a much slower response time. Google promises that the iPhone will not be the only smartphone to be enabled with their new applications. They are planning on offering it to other phones in the near future.
