When information reached our ears of Google’s new Android cellphone - the Gphone - we immediately believed that it would be the newest competition against the Apple iPhone. However, analysts Piper Jaffray and his co-analyst, Gene Munster are convinced that they are targeting completely different sections of the cellphone industry.
The goal of the iPhone is to weaken those the people who control how most handset are created and sold. On the other hand Google’s free Android system is supporting the idea that handset manufacturers be charged a licensing fee for the software that they use.
