Asustek Computer and Intel Corporation the major chipset manufacturer have paneled up with electronics trader Tsann Kuen Enterprise to endorse PC refurbishing in Taiwan, the companies revealed on Tuesday. People who bring an old unit in for recycling at any of Tsann Kuen’s wide spread network of 172 chain stores in Taiwan will be given an NT$2,000 (an equivalent of US$66) gift voucher good towards a novel Asustek PC equipped with an Intel dual-core microprocessor. “We’re practicing this to endorse computer recycling,” expressed Jerry Yen, general manager of Tsann Kuen. “It’s our approach to do a bit for Earth Day,” he added.
