Caller ID installed into your phone is something that has been around for some years now. But what if you could know who was calling without having to get up off the couch and looking at the phone.
It seems that many different cable companies have been trying to create a way of enabling the caller ID feature on a person’s television. So whenever someone was to call you a little box would appear at the corner of the screen telling you the name and number of the person calling.
Cablevision Systems, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable are the only cable providers that have enabled this feature. Cablevision Systems (in New York City) will be offering the feature to all 3 million of its customers. The best part of having this feature (through Cablevision) is that they don’t charge any extra to enable it and you can always turn it off when you want.
