Nvidia, a company perhaps best known for making graphics chips that wind up in
expensive PCs marketed to hardcore gamers, has launched a new line aimed at more affordable computers. The GeForce 7 Series will make its way into computers in the under-$1,000 range. Nvidia may look to undercut Intel, which makes similar chips, in cost.

3 game console, Toshiba has developed the SpursEngine processor. The chip is designed to act as a co-processor, working alongside a computer’s main processor to handle video or other complex tasks. One potential use is to recognize hand gestures as a means of input, replacing a remote control.
