Ubi-soft publicized that it will buy the cerebral rights to Tom Clancy name. At least rights are rendered to use it to produce video games. Tom Clancy, the writer of books like Patriot Games, The Hunt for Red October and the Sum of All Fears. Ubi-soft trades the hit labels using tom Clancy’s name, such as Ghost Recon, Rain box Six and Splinter cell. No comments as in how much Ubi-soft paid to own up rights to Tom Clancy’s name but CNET reports propose that a press release from Ubi-soft reveals they had a net cash of $232 and will have a net cash of $201 million at the conclusion of fiscal 2008 while they had $232 million. The videogame giant will continue to pay Tom Clancy through 2010 as the royalty charges.
