Sony’s latest Handy Cam camcorder has become the world’s smallest 1080p HD-High Definition camcorder. The tiny device weighs in at meager 10-ounces, and measures simple dimensions of 1.3 x 4.7 x 2.5 inches in size. The camcorder comes with face recognition for up to 8 different faces. The device will store valuable info on either the Memory Stick Duo PRO or PRO Duo Mark 2. It is basically priced at $900, and will be liberated in May, though it is available for pre-order from April 3rd. With Sony taking a prime leap ahead with this HD camcorder, the rest of the competitors are forced to have their task really cut out to jump in now or never again in this compact compilation of futuristic cams.

If you still haven’t heard of Loewe you’re missing out on a tech-treat, because the company specializes in few of the most enchanting and eye-catching paraphernalia you’ve ever seen. It’s probably flaxen to say Apple designer Jonathan Ive would be excited to have a Loewe in his living space. The German company’s newest is the Innovative Connect 37, a 37-inch LCD TV with an in-built media streaming capabilities. The Connect 37 is bloomed with a sniper’s correctness at people who must encompass the best of everything. It’s a ‘Full High Definition’ 1080p TV, with sustain for 24p playback from HD media.

HD DVD backer Toshiba has unveiled a digital video recorder (DVR) that can archive HD broadcasts onto standard DVD discs.

The Vardia RD-A301 uses an HD transcoder to convert HD broadcasts from their native MPEG 2 format into MPEG 4 AVC. Toshiba claims its transcoder compresses the HD video enough for it to be burnt onto a 4.7GB DVD-R – whilst retaining the broadcast picture quality.
