It is told that Yahoo now intends to join Google for the OpenSocial, which is a Google led alliance. OpenSocial is to expand general standards so as to generate platform for developers to create programs, which run on social networks and other website also, according to Yahoo. This is especially encouraged to boost the Yahoo’s search results and for further recognition it is the world’s search giant. In addition, Yahoo’s participation “would mean that the site with the largest group of users, and with the largest base of registered users, would be joining OpenSocial,” said Charlene Li, an analyst with Forrester Research. The creators of several popular applications such as Facebook have already stated that they plan to adapt their programs to kowtow with the OpenSocial standard.
