Microsoft is preparing to release the new 2008 Windows Server system – which will be available to consumers Feb 27th of next year. Usually Microsoft leaves us in the dark about what they have prepared for us – but this time they have decided that the best of course of action is to lay it all out on the line.
All eight versions for Windows Server 2008 will be equipped in 32 bit and 64 bit editions. The Itanium version will only be available in 64 bit. Those businesses who are looking to save a few dollars can choose to use the Standard, Datacenter, and Enterprise editions without the Hyper-V technology (the server virtualization technology for Microsoft).
